In 2004 the Prescott family discovered Guemes Island,

and gradually we transferred our lives in all or part to this beautiful location.  At the time, although there had been many fine chamber music concerts there in the past, none existed then, so with the help of my family I decided to start the Guemes Island Chamber Music Series in 2007.  Every member had their own role and did it well.  However, as time marched on and the series continued to grow and be a valued part of life for both islanders and nearby communities, our board was created; it began to assume the responsibilities, and we’re now up to six treasured members plus numerous volunteers who help us make it all happen.  I am grateful to everyone who has done their part to help this cause; it is a labor of love and one I hope to continue for many more years!

Over time we have hosted a wide variety of musicians from all over the world, and the performances have shed light on many countries and musical influences.  These concerts are highly anticipated events that bring people together for beautiful experiences, so if you love chamber music, please join us!
